TRIM Center Hosts Roundtable on Digital Tools for Spatial Planning

On February 26, the TRIM Center hosted a discussion on how digital tools support strategic and spatial planning at the municipal level.

The roundtable brought together representatives of federal and regional governments, experts in municipal governance, and managers from technology companies.

Experts from the TRIM Center and HSE University delivered keynote presentations, while other participants presented practical case studies. Representatives of the Sakhalin Region demonstrated how digital tools accelerate master planning and help shorten investment and construction timelines in the region.

Participants noted the positive effects of digitalization and emphasized that municipal officials and analysts need to continue developing their digital skills. At the same time, experts noted that technological adoption remains uneven and continues to face challenges typical of large-scale transformation efforts.
